FROM STRIP TEASE TO TRAGEDY: TO THOSE THAT DIDN’T MAKE IT
For inexplicable reasons, there are those of us that are no longer around. They may have departed long ago, but they were employees of Show World; at one time interwoven into the fabric of our lives. They weren’t typical individuals; they just exposed themselves in an off-beat way. They struggled with the incomprehensible forces that surround all of us on any given day.
Some were preyed upon, and they never knew. Some of them succumbed, and some of them were abused. Some left under truly horrific circumstances; they were in the wrong place at the wrong time. Some even departed accidentally, for a stage beyond the Peep-A-Live. One thing is certain, they all mattered; they just expressed themselves differently. Here at Show World Legacy, we choose to remember them when they were young, healthy and strong. We cherish their memory, and are sorry that they are gone.
They worked in Show World; they dared to be different. They may have been misunderstood by their family and friends, and by those that couldn’t comprehend. Just because we were employed in pornography didn’t make us lesser human beings; if anything, we had a deeper connection to a humanity not far removed from ourselves. Because in a haphazard way, we treated the sexual imbalance in our society by providing an outlet that released those impulses that could no longer be contained. The only problem is that in some cases, it cost them their lives.
LONG LIVE THE LIVE NUDE GIRLS! They will always be a part of what we were; there would have been no Show World without them.
